Sometimes I really do think that Glee is best when it’s messy. “I Kissed a Girl” was all kinds of messy, from Santana’s storyline, to Puck/Shelby/Quinn’s storyline, to Beiste/Sue/Cooter’s storyline, to Rachel’s storyline…and while I’ve seen several reviews of this week’s episode that condemns it for its messiness, I thought it all worked surprisingly well. Sure, I’m getting a bit tired of the Puck/Shelby drama, too, but I thought that their complex drama was fantastic to watch, just like it was to see all of the emotions Santana went through this week.
Once again, Glee was on fire this week…hey, that’s another “F” for the Troubletones! Seriously, is it terrible that I’m rooting for the Troubletones so much? New Directions will always hold my heart because they’re the original wonderfulness that made me fall in love with Glee in the first place…but the Troubletones are so incredibly talented that I can’t help but want them to be rewarded for it! Anyone else with me on this? Let’s break this episode discussion down a little more, shall we
Drama, laughs and amazing music – last week’s episode, “The First Time”, had all the makings of a great Glee episode…and by the looks of it, this week’s “Mash Off” looks like a winner, too! That’s right, it’s the return of the mash-up this week, with a whopping four mash-ups being performed in the episode. Spoilerphobes, it’s preview post time, so avert your eyes if you don’t want to see the official synopsis, episode stills, full songs and a bunch of sneak peek videos from this week’s episode. First, here’s the synopsis: Sue starts a smear campaign to take down her biggest competitor for the Congressional seat
Last week’s episode may have been less than spectacular, but “The First Time” more than made up for it. This episode had all the elements of an awesome Glee episode: big drama, awesome laughs, excellent music…and oh, did I mention big drama
Three weeks on, three weeks off – I think the beginning of Glee ‘s season 3 was designed just to drive us gleeks crazy. But finally Glee came back this week, although it was with a bit more of a whisper than a shout
Although it was a pretty great episode, I think that “Asian F” suffered from too much hype. While I enjoyed watching it, I think I preferred last week’s “I Am Unicorn” better, and I wonder how much of that has to do with the fact that “Asian F” was frequently touted as one of the best episodes of Glee ever, even before it was aired. Several entertainment blogs like Entertainment Weekly and E! Online were comparing it to such season one greats as “Wheels”, which is extremely high praise
Another week, another new Glee episode! Oh, it’s so nice to get to say that again! Spoilerphobes, beware – below you’ll find the official synopsis, song previews, episode stills and a sneak peek video from this week’s episode, “I Am Unicorn”. Brittany manages Kurt’s campaign for class President, but he worries that her strategy may be too one-dimensional; and auditions for the school’s production of West Side Story begin with Artie, Emma, and Coach Beiste serving as the trio of directors.
