One of the stars of hit television programme Glee has spoken out about the “hidden problem” of youth homelessness – linking it to his own troubled teenage years. During a break from rehearsals for the show’s live tour, Canadian actor Cory Monteith visited a hostel in west London, the Foyer. He told its residents of his turbulent teenage years, during which he changed schools 12 times and battled drug problems

‘Glee’ co-fabricator Ryan Murphy and Twentieth Century Fox Television have announced that Ashley Fink (Lauren Zizes), Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson – who recently sold out two nights at the Borderline in mere minutes); and members of the Dalton Academy Warblers will be joining the thirteen cast members of ‘Glee’ initially scheduled to perform during the UK tour this summer. The cast of ‘Glee’ Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith), Mercedes (Amber Riley), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Artie (Kevin McHale), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Puck (Mark Salling), Quinn (Dianna Agron), Santana (Naya Rivera), Brittany (Heather Morris), Mike (Harry Shum, Jr.), Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Blaine (Darren Criss) will perform in an all-new song and dance celebration of the hit series awarded with both Golden Globe and Emmy Awards, beginning Wednesday, June 22nd, at Manchester’s M.E.N.

A girl can dream… *** Gwyneth Paltrow, who was honored last night with Meryl Streep at the Good Housekeeping Shine On awards in New York, loves being on Glee . She will put in her third appearance as substitute teacher Holly Holiday and will sing Adele’s new Turning Tables song on next week’s episode. Is there any chance she might become a series regular
