The biggest Glee news as of late has been all about the show’s big stars and who’s staying and who’s leaving. While news outlets were originally reporting that Rachel, Finn and Kurt would all be graduating at the end of season 3 , and that their actors, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer would all be out of their jobs, it seems that story wasn’t quite the full truth

Glee fans around the world have likely already heard the news — some of our beloved original cast members will be graduating from McKinley High at the end of season 3, including Rachel Berry, Finn Hudson, and Kurt Hummel. Ryan Murphy confirmed the news last week, telling The Hollywood Reporter : “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.” Murphy also confirmed that other cast members will be graduating, too, but he didn’t say which ones – only saying that “more characters are leaving than staying”. The news surely comes as a bit of a shock to gleeks — these are three of the show’s biggest stars he’s kicking off, after all! But I do appreciate the idea of staying true to life and graduating students when it’s time for them to graduate
