This makes me VERY happy. *** Theresa Labarbera Whites, Senior VP of A&R for Columbia Records, has announced that “Glee” star Naya Rivera , who broke out this season as her character, Santana, struggled with her sexuality, is the latest Gleek to score a solo record deal. In an update with Billboard Magazine, Whites confirmed that she’s spending her summer working on several projects, including Rivera’s solo effort, a project from the reunited Dixie Chicks, and the upcoming Beyonce album, 4.

Friday’s not until tomorrow, but I can’t wait until then to share the latest Glee song news. Vulture is reporting that the show’s prom episode, which will air later this season, will feature a rendition of Rebecca Black’s infamous “Friday”. Artie, Puck and Sam will be the unlikely trio covering the song, and I wonder if Kevin McHale, Mark Salling and Chord Overstreet will have fun, fun, fun, fun recording this one
