Deadline has a great article out with a Q&A with Glee’s own Brad Falchuck. *** Brad Falchuk had quite a summer. While working on two shows at once as the co-creator of Glee and FX’s forthcoming American Horror Story, he found himself recently disputing reports of Glee stars Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Cory Monteith leaving the series after Season 3. Despite the fan backlash and gripes online about the quality of its sophomore season, Glee still snared a dozen Primetime Emmy nominations, including for Outstanding Comedy Series. Falchuk spoke with Deadline TV Contributor Ray Richmond: DEADLINE: Glee has been whacked hard on the Internet.
Chris Colfer says he has “raging ADD.” While his ever-growing list of projects and creative avenues may suggest there’s some truth in that, the dedication and determined focus he brings to each prove he’s actually just a great multi-tasker. Best known for his Golden Globe winning role as Glee’s fashion-obsessed countertenor Kurt Hummel, Colfer last season found himself at the heart of an anti-bullying storyline that both inspired public dialogue and landed him in the Time 100, the magazine’s list of the world’s most influential people. After wrapping Glee’s second season in May, Colfer followed up the whirlwind international Glee Live tour — now in theaters as the Glee 3D Movie experience — by producing and starring in his first self-penned feature film while writing a TV pilot and starting work on his first young adult novel.
In an exclusive interview with Deadline, Ryan Murphy sets the record straight about…everything? I don’t know, it all still sounds fishy to me.
There are many reasons the Internet exploded when it was announced in June that Buffy the Vampire Slayer executive producer and fanboy favorite Marti Noxon had joined the writing staff of Glee : She has plenty of cult cred, thanks to her days working alongside Joss Whedon, but her resume is also littered with top dramas including Mad Men , Private Practice , Grey’s Anatomy and Brothers & Sisters . “Geeks and musical nerds are all the same people,” she says. “There were only so many places to hide in high school: One was the A/V club and the other was the drama club.
This is actually a good question (and I’m usually not a big fan of The Ted)… *** During the swan-song performance of Glee Live! Tour in Dublin, Heather Morris , Naya Rivera , Chris Colfer and Darren Criss put on an impromptu midshow skit that caused gleeks everywhere to become giddy with…well, glee! Morris’ airheaded Brittany took the stage to shamelessly hit on Criss’ Blaine, who she mistakenly still thought was straight.
Well, it sounds like he may be getting his wish… Todrick Hall’s push to be on Glee may be making some headway. “It’s amazing how the internet works,” he said in a recent interview .”Less than 24 hours after I posted the video, Ryan Murphy received the video. They sent it to the executive producers and then to casting. I’m meeting with casting soon, so hopefully I’ll get a spot on the show.” Source
If you weren’t aware of who Chris Colfer was a year ago, you probably know who he is now.
Thanks to my pal Jenny for the heads up on this one! *** It could be the funniest scene ever presented on television. A high school is the setting for Glee, which stars Lynch as Sue Sylvester and Matthew Morrison as Will In this classic screamer from the current TV mega-hit series Glee, superstar actress-comedian Jane Lynch ’82 (while playing a tyrannical high school cheerleading coach named Sue Sylvester) confronts her nemesis—actor Matthew Morrison (playing a dweeby Spanish teacher who’s just agreed to serve as director of the school’s glee club)
