2011 Primetime Emmy Nominations

 

Glee did not fare as well as last year in their Emmy nominations. In fact, in the preliminary list, no one was nominated in the lead actor/actress categories. Below is the list so far – it will be updated as other categories (costume, guest star, etc) are announced: Comedy Series Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series – Jane Lynch Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series – Chris Colfer Guest Actress in a Comedy Series – Gwyneth Paltrow, Dot Marie Jones, Kristin Chenoweth More include: Hairstyling for a single-camera series (Sue Sylvester Shuffle), Make Up for a single-camera series (Rocky Horror Glee Show), Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series 1 hour (The Substitute), Outstanding costumes for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup For A Series, Miniseries, Movie Or A Special (The Sue Sylvester Shuffle).

Glee Gets Two People’s Choice Awards

 

Happy New Year everyone from Germany, too! I hope you had a good start in 2011! I know, who else had a good start: Yesterday night, Glee won two of their possible five People’s Choice Awards : Favorite TV Comedy and Favorite TV Comedy Actress (Jane Lynch): In case you missed the ceremony, you can check out her acceptance speech here: In the other two categories, they lost to Neil Patrick Harris in Favorite TV Comedy Actor (Matthew Morrison was nominated) and Demi Lovato on Grey’s Anatomy in Favorite TV Guest Star where Britney Spears and Neil Patrick Harris were nominated for Glee. But I think, those are worth the award as well!
